Millions stolen from the poorest state in America's welfare system...
Recently John Davis who was the former executive director of the Mississippi Department of Human Services plead guilty to funnelling funds from the annual budget allotted to the welfare system. Davis diverted the funds to projects like building a volleyball stadium. There have been different reports but I have heard numbers as large as 77 million have been diverted from a 80 something million dollar budget. So how does your boy Brett Favre come into the picture.
The volleyball stadium that I spoke on earlier is located at Southern Miss Brett's alma mater where his daughter was attending and playing for the volleyball team, but she's transferred to LSU's team since the shit hit the fan. Brett nor his daughter has been charged with anything but Brett has returned something like 1.1 million saying he didn't know what was going on. I'm not so sure about that according to documents obtained by news entities. Other sources have stated that this isn't Brett's 1st rodeo at welfare fraud. I can't call it, we can however go on what has been furnished in terms of evidence. Things are looking like this was done as a favor to Brett, the school, and the team.
Don't this make you think about people who don't feel like people deserve help from the welfare system because they feel like everyone on it is lazy or trying to get over. Here you have a person who was appointed to a place of trust who has more than likely received more respect in life than the people that he was stealing from. In this instance he stole for a person who is already worth more than 100 million dollars. Bad part is Brett probably could have donated the money and got most of it back in taxes. Well we see how this planet is spinning but live up to a code of honor, it's harder than living like the regular folks but thats what makes you your beautiful self... Peace & Love...
